Moon Flower Hat

Oooo yeah… I do like the way this turned out. Just what I pictured from the beginning.

I should have enough of the yarn to make a few more.

Have you checked out the new issue of Twist Collective? If not, check it out here. Isn't the Sylvi sweater coat gorgeous?! Oh, and check out my note cards on this page - they actually contacted me to have them featured. How cool is that!

Moon Flowers

I was at my LYS the other day and in the clearance bin was this interesting, colorful yarn.

I was drawn to it right away. Loved the colors and texture, and 60% off the price sure helped too!

With not a lot of yardage per skein and with such an interesting texture I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Then I thought it would be cute to make flowers and embellish some baby hats. I can picture them now… should be cute! Some craftiness is finally coming back. YEY!

Mango Moon Yarns has a great purpose too - check out their story.

Slowly, Very Slowly

Gosh, did I drop off the face of blogland or what!? Sorry about that, I know it's no fun when blogs aren't updated on a regular basis. It's just I still have no creative energy these days. I hope that changes soon because it's really starting to annoy me too!

I do have a couple over-due hats for friends that I need to get done so I'm making myself work on them but they are going slowly, very slowly…

My First Apron Design

This is the tenth apron that I've posted on my blog and this is by far my favorite because for this one, I designed my own pattern!

I finally cut into my lovely Anna Maria, Chocolate Lollipop fabric and designed an apron pattern of my own. I used assorted fat quarters for the front…

…and for the back, I used a sweet polka dot fabric that I found at Jo Ann's that matches perfectly. Love that this is reversible too, don't you?

I'm quite proud of my little apron and plan to make many more. Hopefully even put the pattern together to share with all of you!

In other news, I'm so excited to see that Craft Sanity has posted her podcast with the awesome Amy Butler! I can't wait to listen to it! You should check it out too. I'm sure it will be a great one. Plus there is a great give-away!
