Another Cowgirl

Another weekend, another pair of Cowgirl Slipper Socks.

That's two Christmas gifts knitted and done! I'd still like to make possibly two pairs of Fetching and another doll. Then I have two outstanding hats that I have to knit for a couple friends. I really want to get all of this done before '09 hits because once it does, I want to focus the year on knits for ME - knits I CAN'T WAIT to tell you about!  ;)

Pattern Source: Cowgirl Slipper Socks from Interweave Knits, Winter 2006
Yarn: The Plucky Knitter 80/10/10 MCN SW, 250 yards, colorway Justine. (plenty yarn left over, maybe I'll make some baby socks with the scraps)
Needles: size 7
Notes: If you want to knit these, be sure to check the error in the pattern. I have it on my notes on my Ravelry project page here.

Christmas Cowgirl

As usual, I wait until a couples week before Christmas and decide, hey maybe I should knit some Christmas gifts…

I finished these Cowgirl Slipper Socks over the weekend and already casted on for a second pair. I think they'll be a sweet gift, and using Plucky yarn is the icing on the cake!

Better Late, Then Never

I made these two hats for a friend of mine. She asked for them back in September and I thought they'd be done by end of October, but with the knitting lull I went through nothing was getting done. Oh well, better, late then never!

Hope her boys didn't already out grow them!

Pattern Source: After making so many hats from Itty-Bitty, I kind of just made these as I went
Yarn: Berroco, Ultra Alpaca
Notes: I used the Duplicate Stitch (it's also called the Swiss Darning Stitch) method to create the skull and crossbones. If you want the the graphic that I created, feel free to download it for your personal use here.

A Hat And An Interview

The flower power continues… Here's another baby hat that I finished. Found the pattern for the crocheted flower here.

In other news…

Check out my interview with the lovely Knitting Contessa. I was quite flattered when she contacted me and asked if I'd be a part of her "Knitting Contrisstmas" interviews. Along with being very flattered I was quite floored too - it's the "Who? ME?" factor. Very cool though! Loved her laid back style too. Thanks so much Knitting Contessa - it was a pleasure!
