Behind On Knitting

Thank you sooo much for the orders and for the comments on my New Tags! I'm so excited about them and very happy for the positive feedback. Remember, leave a comment on my new tags post and I'll pick 3 winners to send tags to - probably sometime early next week.

In-the-mean time, I've gotten behind on some knitting. On top of my list is this gift that I have yet to finish. Just a bit of seaming to do and it will be ready!

Finally! New Tags Are Here!!!

I've been waiting, and waiting, and I'm finally ready release my new gift tags for Knitterella!

I just love these and I hope you do too!!! With 12 tags per pack (4 in each color) these tags are great because not only can you use them for your knitted and crocheted gifts but you can use them for any of your handmade gift-giving!

On the front you can fill-out who it's for and who it was made by and the back is great because, if you need it, there is a place to fill-out the Size, Fiber and Care. Gotta love that! For more info check them out here at Knitterella.

AND… Stay tuned because I'm going to have even more Knitterella product for you by Christmas this year. Actually, I'm hoping I will have them ready way before that!

************************************************************************

UPDATE: The popular Knitterella Gift Tags for Knit and Crochet will no longer be sold in tins. Just like the new tags, they will be sold in the clear hand-pack bags. This way is so much smarter for selling because now you will be able to see the front and back of the tags and each pattern - you couldn't see that in the tins. Plus, the price point is better and I'm sure you'll like that!

************************************************************************

P.S. I just can't wait for you to get your hands on these so leave me a comment and let me know what you think - I will draw a few names early next week send some new Knitterella gift tags your way!

Inspired By Color 2

Pretty, Merino Seacell yarn called "Parfait" from The Plucky Knitter and pretty, pink cosmo from my backyard garden.

Now the question is, do I cast on for Froot Loop or Spring Forward? Decisions, decisions!

In other news, I got an email from Twist Collective and they asked if they could feature my Sweater Card in the upcoming winter issue. How sweet is that?! Yey for Knitterella!

Inspired By Color No. 1

I couldn't help but think that the beautiful sunflowers in my backyard resemble the beautiful yarn that I have wound and ready for one of my next projects.

The yarn is called "Caroline Hat" and it's 100% merino worsted, hand-painted yarn from The Plucky Knitter. It's just waiting to be cast on for my Cowgirl Slipper Socks.

I've also been working on some knitted baby gifts but can't show them until they have been gifted. I'm looking forward to posting some nice photos of them and hopefully soon!

MY First Pair

YEY! I've knit socks a couple times before but this is the first pair I knit for ME!!!

I finished my Charades and I love them. Now I see what all the fuss is about with hand knit socks knit in yummy, high-end yarns. I think I'm hooked!

I never thought I'd be into sock knitting, mainly for fear of Second Sock Syndrome but I enjoyed this pair and pattern so much it was no problem at all. I even have yarn set aside for 2 more pairs just waiting for me to cast on.

Pattern Source: Charade (free pattern download)
Yarn: The Plucky Knitter Superwash Merino Wool Handpainted Fingering Weight
Needles: size 0
Size: Women's medium (fits my size 7s just fine)
Notes: Next time try it on 1s. The 0s made a pretty tight fitting sock for me and I might like it a bit looser next time.

It's already August, the homestretch of summer, and I'm vowing to get the most out of it!
