Yarn Mail

Woo-Who! Yarn Mail from Plucky - my favorite! Oh the gorgeous colors and textures and… cashmere!!! So yummy and so needed because friends, I have not had the desire to knit one stitch in like the past 3 weeks. I'm serious… I lost my crafty mojo and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. I think this package from Plucky couldn't have come at a better time. It's bound to get me back in my knitting groove - hope so!

As always, it's a pleasure doing business with you Plucky. I'll work for yarn any time!

Design An Apron

A long time back I bought this awesome bundle of fat quarters from Anna Maria. Don't you just love her and her designs? I do and I loved this bundle of joy so much I think I've been afraid to cut into them or worried I wouldn't have a project worthy of the beautiful fabric!

I have decided though. I decided I need to make my own apron pattern using these beauties as my inspiration. I've wanted to for some time and since I'm also going to be a part of a local girls night out/craft show in November I figure it's the perfect time. If all goes as planned I'll have an apron pattern designed and a bunch made to show and sell at the show. If they don't sell that is fine too as you all know I love giving aprons as gifts and love just having them displayed around my home as mini works of art!

Baby Set In Alpaca

Here's a cute baby set that I was finally able to give to the mother.

The blue Berroco, Ultra Alpaca from my stash was perfect for a baby boy and really knits up nice. After blocking, it's even better. Love this yarn.

Yarn: Berroco, Ultra Alpaca
Notes: The hat was just a pattern that I made up. A simple straight hat based of the measurements from the very handy The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns: Basic Designs in Multiple Sizes and Gauges

Kitty For Livie

Isn't this Kitty Hat the cutest! Despite the fact that it was pretty much a pain to knit I am happy with how it turned out. And the orange and black yarn from my stash was perfect.

I'm looking forward to giving it to Miss O. I think she will love it!

Devil Yarn

I was at my LYS last night and I couldn't resist this YarnDot from PolarKnit. I never thought I'd be popping these things in my Crocs but come on, it's a Devil Yarn Ball! Plus, I got a matching one to give to Miss O too!

OH, and I also got some of the PolarKnit Fleece yarn - I'm going to make the Mohak Hat for a special nephew. Isn't it it hilarious!

Apron No. 9

I started numbering my aprons in the title way back with No. 1. So why stop now, right?!

Oh, and I don't own all nine! I just like making them for gifts.

Never-Ending Lace

This would have been done a long time ago if it weren't for the never-ending lace.

60 inches of a lace pattern that I have to give my undivided, no t.v. watching, no one else in the room attention too hasn't been on the top of my list of things to do!

Apron No. 8

I finally got some sewing time it! I've had two aprons cut out for the longest time, and it sure feels good to get one knocked out.

I really like this one. Love the colorful pattern on black and the accent fabric in red - I'm a red girl!

I really had to search my garden for that tiny tomato - as you can see from my 'cucumber and zucchini side' my garden is pretty much spent. Even though my tomato is tiny, I'm going to enjoy every last flavorful bite!
