Karate Sweater Progress

My Karate Sweater is coming along! I'm just holding these pieces together but here's a glimpse. The yarn feels great on. I'm getting really excited to finish!

The problem I was having with this, is that when I knit it to the desired length and take it off the needles, the yarn kind of sprung together so it looked so much shorter and it was driving me nuts. I think this was mainly happening because of the stitch pattern. So when I actually held it up on me the gravity pulled it to the correct length. Anyways…

Look at me needle felting my yarn together! Pretty clever, eh?I had the supplies and thought since the yarn is 100% wool, it should work. Right? Well, it did! It's a little fuller where the ends are felted together but it's nice to have one continuous ball of yarn!

Wow those are some big stitches!
What size needle are you using?

Looks good so far. Fabulous felting of the ends, I'm always too lazy to get up and do it:)

The needles are 32s - 36" circulars. They make it go really fast!

It looks so beautiful! I bet it will be a great sweater when fall days come around. Great idea with the needle felting ends, that's going to be so much more discreet than weaving the ends on that bulky yarn into the sweater fabric.

I love the idea of one continuos ball of yarn by needlefelting the ends together. I have to try that sometime.
