FO: Owl Puffs

Ever since I saw THIS version of these cute Owl Puffs I've wanted to make one and I'm glad I finally did. This was a fun little 1.5 evening project with WZ. He had fun sitting next to me watching me knit and create this as we cuddled on the couch in the evenings watching Christmas cartoons. This lil' owl affectionately named "Smorf" was made just for WZ to hang on the tree and play with. I do see more in the future though… I think these would make great toppers for gifts all year long!

Today I've been winding down with work for the Holidays and won't be back to post until a bit later. I wanted to wish you all a very, Merry Christmas (or, if you prefer, a very, Happy Holiday!). I so very much appreciate you and all your support as I grow my Knitterella and Jill Zielinski Designs businesses. It has been a great year of many new and exciting things and God willing, I'm looking forward to many more in 2013. Thank you for everything and the best to you and yours for healthy and happy 2013!

 Cheers!

Lil' Owl

With not much knitting time these days this cute lil' owl too me a lot longer then it should have. Either way, it's done and it turned out really cute.

This lil' guy is going directly in the mail to a dear friend that just had a baby boy. Once I heard that her nursery is decorated in a woodland creature theme I knew I had to knit one of the cute animals from Susan B. Anderson's collection of adorable woodland creatures that she designed for the Holiday 2010 issue of Knit Simple. This lil' owl will be the perfect addition!

Cuddly Owl

Just finished my Owl! Isn't he cute? Just one of the cuddly critters I want to make from this group.

I'll have to see what colors I have in my stash to see what I can cast on for next. I'm itching to do the Giraffe but need more yellow so that one will have to wait. Maybe I'll try the crocheted Puppy or Bunny next. They're just so cute and fun!

The Elephant In The Room

It's hard not to discuss the elephant in the room, especially when he's so darn cute! My new friend Susan B. Anderson is the designer behind this cute creation. She even is posting it as a free pattern on her blog! She has a lot of great stuff there and is a favorite designer of mine. I fell in love with her work when I got her first book Itty-Bitty Hats. I still go nuts with the patterns in there and I'm sure I'll be posting about those again and again!

I do love this little guy. I think I'll leave him up as my header for awhile :)

BYW - I knitted him with a mix of colors that I had in my stash of Berroco, Touché.
