I just sent out a couple knitted hats for a good friend that just had a baby boy. Aren't they cute!Pattern Source: "Candy Cane" from Itty-Bitty Hats
Yarn: Berroco, Touché
Size: Newborn
Notes: Done in blue and orange instead of the red and white the pattern shows. I think this pattern is my favorite. I think it's so cute on a baby!
Pattern Source: pattern based off "Dotty" from Itty-Bitty Hats
Yarn: Filtes-King Extra, 100% Merino Wool
Size: Newborn
Notes: I used the general pattern for "Dotty" but changed up the colors, did braids on the side instead of pom poms (because I can't ever seem to make good pom poms) and then used the Duplicate Stitch (or it's also called the Swiss Darning Stitch) method to create the skull and crossbones design on the front. I don't have much experience with Intarsia Knitting so this method is just easier for me. If you want the skull and crossbones graphic that I created you can get it here. I think it's really cute and just a little spooky for Halloween!
The jar that I'm showing these hats on is something my mom made for me years ago. It's a cover for a mason jar and has machine embroidered Halloween graphics on 2 sides. It's usually full of candy but lately candy hasn't survived very long in this house!

Too cute... the hats AND the jar cover :-) I just posted some pics of future WIP's on my site, and I'm nearly finished my second monkey sock... I'm getting giddy with excitement, I can't wait to wear them.
I love seeing the hats you knit, they are always adorable.
Hugs Denise
The projects are darling - love that skull and crossbones graphic - great job, as always:) Candy doesn't have a chance in my house either!
Too sweet! I was just visiting the itty-bitty books at barnes & noble last week; can't wait to get a chance to buy one! The cover your mom made is gorgeous; crafting really runs in your family, huh! :)
So adorable! I love them both.
Love those hats...i think some of the best gifts EVER!
That jar cover is too cute! So your creativity has been passed down! love that~
Those hats are very cute! You've just answered the question I've had for the last month on what hat to knit for a new baby boy. I love the blue and orange stripe.
Love your green chair too!
