Not too much to report but I do have a lot of 'works in progress' going on. One of which is my Pimlico Shrug from the Knit 2 Together book. You know the book that Tracey Ullman co-authored… I thought it was so cool when I found out she was a knitter!
I'm using Berroco, Ultra Alpaca from my stash and this knit is all for ME! I love shrugs and I'm very excited about this one.
I had trouble with the eyelet pattern in the book so I'm doing a different stitch pattern instead. I picked the Knotted Cross Stitch out of my Complete Guide To Needlework book. I like the bumpy look and it's a lot easier to remember and do then the eyelet pattern.
OH, and I almost forgot, HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!

that's a gorgeous pattern. I knew Tracy Ullman MANY years ago when she frequented the shop where I worked in LA. She would come running in looking for something that her 5 year old would think was appropriate for picking her up from school, and then go running out looking slightly more put together. Since this was a regular occurrence, I'm not sure what happened to what she purchased after the school pickup. She was too funny.
I was just (like 2 hours ago) looking at that pattern and thinking "should I start something new...nah, I better wait and work on my skirt" :) too funny!
Can't wait to see it on you!
that is such a great sweater!!!
(i loved sarah story) :)
oooh I have that book, haven't knit anything from it yet though. I'm just off to bed and I'm gonna browse through it again. I do like this shrug and the thought of making one for me to snuggle in later this year is a nice one. Can't wait to see yours progress.
Great sweater. Good to know Tracy Ullman is a knitter too.
The shrug is perfect! And wonderful since it is all for you!:)
Wow, what a sweet shrug! How do you always manage to find such interesting projects?
Well that is going to be super!
ok, forst tracey ullman knits? I love her! second, i like the pattern you are doing better than the eyelet pattern. I can't wait to see the finished product!
I have always loved that shrug. I can't wait to see yours.
that will look amazing when it is done!
Wow; I'm not usually much for shrugs, but I like that one - a lot. I think the alternative stitch pattern you chose is perfect; it keeps the "spirit" of the piece perfectly. Can't wait to see it finished!
