Ever come across something like this in a pattern? (highlighted in pink below…)
I never know what that means????? Does it mean do that every row? Every other row? Every RS row? Does it mean cast off like that all at once - like 3 sts with 1 st, etc??? I thought I was cruising along on my Fiery Bolero but I guess I'll have to put it aside until I can take to it my LYS for help. It's probably something very simple but I just don't get it…
Do you know what it means?

I am going to guess it means bind off those stitches on each right side row (bind off 3 on the first row, 4 on the next RS row, etc), I am imagining like an angles hem? And stockinette? Good luck! I'll be curious to see what the real answer is:)
As someone who used to work at one of your LYSs I'd say what peaknit says, that seems to make the most sense--otherwise the pattern would read BO X stitches (x being 2 +3+4). Weird though.
My first thought was the same as Peaknit's and Jodie's. It is odd though.
oh, i would have to agree with everyone else. I am not very experienced, but I have never read a pattern where you bind off on a WS row. let us know how you make out!
I was about to type exactly what Peaknit said... bind off every RS row (it says 'beg of RS rows) and BO 2 on the first row, then the next RS row would be BO 3, then BO 4 etc. That's my guess anyway. Hope you get it sorted soon.
:)
I agree with Peaknits. Good luck [and don't forget to advise the outcome - pleeease].
i would say the same.
did you try it?
did it work?
It means the yarn is kinda smelly and has b.o.
Nice Beth :) You non-knitter, you!
I'd be guessing like you too. LYS here we come!
I have to frog the bolero I started cuz i realized i read the pattern wrong :(
...and this is why I hate patterns... still, it sounds like everyone else figured it out!
Love your "wtf;" my dh always says "wtf." Someday the kids are going to say it or ask what it means... lol
