Bittersweet

There have been a lot of changes in my life going on right now. I've recently been laid off from a company that I really enjoyed designing for. The lay off was a direct result of the economy but it still was unexpected. Although I will miss the company and the people that I worked with it's really bittersweet for me. Bittersweet because I've always wanted to go out on my own. Having Knitterella and Jill Zielinski Designs be my full time work has been my dream for a long time and now I'm getting the chance to see if it will come true. At least now, either way it turns out, I'll know I had my chance to try.

I have more product coming soon for Knitterella that I'm totally excited about and I'm so thankful that my freelance business is really picking up right now. I believe everything happens for a reason and I'm very excited to see what the future holds!

You're right about things happening for a reason. This is very exciting, can't wait to see your new stuff.

Best wishes to you as you take this leap into independence, and being able to design as you wish, not according to someone else's brief.

I've just been laid off myself (last week) and restarted my blog after 2 years. It was totally shocking and unexpected and depressing. I'll stop by more often to cheer you up :)
