Knitting Quota: 1 & 2

The first time I saw the original 'hat and mittens' advent garland from Garnet Hill I totally wanted it. Of course I couldn't buy it because this was something I knew I could knit. Even though I found a knock-off pattern of it HERE I never had the chance to make it - was never organized enough to start it in time for Christmas. However, this year I'm going to do it! This year I've given myself a knitting quota. A two-per-month quota…

With only one day left of January I've cut it close but nonetheless I got my first two done. Aren't they too cute? Here's hoping I keep the momentum going.

If this sounds like a good idea to you too then you should join me! Find the Adventskalendar pattern HERE and my Ravelry link HERE. Hey, maybe I should start a Ravelry Group?

I too want to knit an advents calendar before next Dec. Can I knit-a-long with you?? I haven't begun yet, but maybe your progress will inspire me! Btw, read your blog faithfully. Love your graphic designs!

Mittens 1 and 2 are bright and happy, and what fun it will be to be ahead of schedule next December!

I write that as someone who has fallen way behind my resolution to do some sort of drawing each and every day. I had a bit of a catch up with my sketchbook today, but hope to find my way back into a drawing groove as January drifts into February.

I agree with everyone else, a quota is a great idea....I am even tempted to try to catch up.....I decided to make my own Advent Calendar every year.

Lovely idea and a lovely calendar! Just remember that you'll have to knit a bit more than 2 per month, if you want to be finished by dec 1st....
