My sweet niece, Olivia, lost her dear Grandpa to cancer earlier this week. It has been hard on everyone, especially the grandkids.
I made this hat for her because her Grandpa used to call her "Olive" - I hope when she sees and wears it, she's reminded of him.

Oh, what a sweet gesture. I am sorry for the loss in your family. You are a beautiful knitter.
Take care.

How sad, and I too am sorry for your loss.
The hat is so touching, and she will cherish it. I'm sure even when she is in her early adult life, it will be a treasure she pulls out and holds lovingly.
Thanks, Girls

That is so sad! Sorry for your loss, but the hat is VERY cute! I just knit my first hat from this book and I am going to the yarn store TODAY to get more yarn to make another one! I did an interview with the author of the book and it will be up on wednesday. Check it out.
