Excuse me, but um, what the heck am I supposed to do with this?
I have a couple friends that wanted felted purses with fun fur and I wanted to get them done for them in time for Christmas but that isn't going to happen now. Not only did this black one not turn out but neither did the brown one I did - I'm not even bothering to take a photo of that one!
I don't have a very good track record when it comes to felting. I don't know what it is but it's hit or miss with me. Oh well, that's OK, I'm working on some great scarfs in place of the purses now. The thing that upsets me the most is the $$ and time that went into knitting these. Maybe it was the iCord maker that cursed this project? I should have known then!
Guess I could always turn this upside down and give it to my niece and nephews to use for a snowman's top hat!

I love your sense of humor about it - I'm sorry though that it is not exactly what you were hoping for:(
I'm still jealous, even if it didn't turn out! :) (see my blog for an explanation).
why it looks great on Frosty!!! Sorry that it didn't turn out, I too have troubles with mixed fiber felting. Better luck next time!!
well, you win some and you lose some...it is just too bad it happened at christmas..but i am sure an IOU will suffice. maybe you had such great knitting karma with the cloche hat this was a doomed project! is there any way to salvage the felted part?
I think it looks great as a hat, sorry the purses didn't turn out right. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Hugs Denise
oh, so sorry..........but i think it actually looks like you were knitting the hat all along! you were, weren't you?! :)
This is why I'm afraid to try many felting projects...it's such an inexact science (unless you have the stamina to felt by hand, that is...). It makes a great snowman hat, though!
