It's a Boy!

One of my best friends had a beautiful baby boy last week and I got to meet him over the weekend and he is just soooo adorable! I'm so happy for her and her family. Of course I couldn't go meet him without bringing him some handknit hats! Here's one of them. Perfect too because his nursery has a sailboat theme.

Pattern Source: "Sailboat" from Itty-Bitty Hats
Yarn: Berroco, Touché
Needles: size 5
Size: 0-6 months

(I knit the blanket under that hat in a simple Basket Weave stitch and trimed it in single crochet.)

Thank you for your comments on the gift set I did. You all were a lot of help and I plan to work on a tutorial over the weekend and hope to post it by Sunday. I'll get a pattern together for the little hat too. Thanks again - you all are the best!

What a cute hat! I haven't seen Itty Bitty Nursery yet but I'll have to check it out when I get back. I love her patterns.

I haven't made this one yet, but I'm definitely putting it on my list! I've just finished some of Susan's sweet pea hats and a bumblebee one.
