I'm a Cowgirl

I finished my Cowgirl Slipper Socks and I love 'em! I've been looking for a nice slipper pattern for a while. Something that knits up pretty quick and doesn't take a lot of yarn. This pattern is perfect and will be great for knitted gifts.

Love that it only took one skein of my stash yarn from The Plucky Knitter. Especially because I've got plenty more where that came from!

Pattern Source: Cowgirl Slipper Socks from Interweave Knits, Winter 2006
Yarn: The Plucky Knitter Superwash Merino Wool Handpainted Worsted Weight - 100 yards
Needles: size 5
Size: one size - I knit on smaller needles and they fit my size 7s perfectly
Notes: If you want to knit these, be sure to check the error in the pattern. I have it on my notes on my Ravelry project page here

I love your slipper socks - makes me wanna knit some! I wear socks all year round, in summer my feet still get cold when the a/c is on but I don't wear slippers in summer so I just put sports socks on my feet. I should knit me a few pairs of these instead - much prettier :-)

They're gorgeous! I really like short socks like that, and the stitch pattern is really cute.

Yee-ha! Those are some mighty fine lookin' slipper socks.

You are inspiring me to make a go of socks again. Lord knows I'm the queen of second sockitis.

Jill, did you get my order for the gift cards? I can't remember if I got an email from your site once I placed the order, so not sure if it went through?
