A Busta Bust

After all the stash research I did I was able to come up with multiple projects that I could work on. I need to finish at least one before I can buy more yarn for something else and boy do I have the itch to buy new yarn and knit new sweaters for me - I think the fall weather creeping up us has a lot to do with it!

I'm pretty excited about my picks - still can't believe all this yarn I have in my stash but these projects will put a dent in it for sure! First off, the Lacy Hug Me Tight Shrug from Knit 2 Together. You know I love my shrugs and I'm going to try to get this done for an up coming wedding next weekend. I know I'm cuttin' it close on time so we'll see if I actually get it done.

This will bust about 7 skeins of my Reynolds, Mandalay

Then I'm going to knit a sweater for me. I'm very excited for this one! I don't have the pattern picture to show you yet but you are going to love it. And yes, it involves all these buttons!

This will bust about 16 skeins of Elsebeth Lavold, Baby Llama from my stash

But before I even cast on for either of those I have to finish this baby set. I actually finished the first one that I showed you a sneak peek of but it looked way to small so I'm re-knitting this waaaay belated baby gift to a bigger size and I better move fast, I don't want the baby to out grow it before I even cast off!

This bust about 4 skeins of my Berroco, Ultra Alpaca

If I'm successful and stick to these projects I'll bust about 27 skeins from my stash!!! Then I won't feel so buy when I go buy more  ;)

Hope to show you some FOs soon!

Rock on! You're doing some serious stash busting. Can't wait to see what the mystery sweater is (and I *love* the lacy hug me tight! It's on my short list)

The Mandalay is a perfect choice for the shrug. I love that yarn and have a bunch in pink, problem is I never wear light pink.

What are you making with all of that yarn and all of the buttons?? Can't wait to see.

I have a stalled out baby sweater as well. We can inspire each other to finish them. Although I 'm sure you'll be done first:)

I'm lining up the projects, too. It feels so good to put patterns and yarn together from stuff I already have. Now I have to free up some time to work on them.

I love that K2together book, so many great projects. Love the baby sweater, too.

Oh, and your new header photo is so beautiful. You are your best model. Lovely colors and lovelier smile.

BTW, do you ever look at the elefante projects on ravelry? There are over 500 posted projects and over 2,000 in queue. It is number 4 right now in popular toy patterns. I am so grateful that you helped me with that pattern format and the link and that the link shows your site name. Thank you so much for that, Jill.

Take care,
susan
