Favorite Blanket

Next on my needles is the Alphabet Blanket from The Baby Knits book by Debbie Bliss. From the first time I saw it, years ago, I always wanted to knit it but never wanted to knit it for anyone else but me. Now the time has come that I can! The yarn I ordered just came in and I'm anxious to start.

With a block for each letter of the alphabet, all the chart work scares me a bit but it will be so worth it!

By the end of it, you'll enjoy the charts. SO much easier than reading the pattern written out!

Stitch markers...lots & lots of stitch markers... ;)

There is little better than wrapping your little one in a cozy blanket you knit with love in every stitch.

I remember you showing me this pattern a few years ago and I was wondering if you still planned to make it! This is one of the most beautiful baby blankets I have ever seen. Keep us posted with photos along the way.

I have seen one or two of those blankets completed and they really do look beautiful. Every new baby should have something special knit for them. I still have my 2 blankets that my aunties made for me when I had my daughter.
