Next on my needles is the
Alphabet Blanket from
The Baby Knits book by Debbie Bliss. From the first time I saw it, years ago, I always wanted to knit it but never wanted to knit it for anyone else but me. Now the time has come that I can! The yarn I ordered just came in and I'm anxious to start.
With a block for each letter of the alphabet, all the chart work scares me a bit but it will be so worth it!

It'll be gorgeous! Have fun knitting this blanket for your little one. :)
By the end of it, you'll enjoy the charts. SO much easier than reading the pattern written out!
Holy crap it looks hard.....If anyone can do it YOU CAN!
Stitch markers...lots & lots of stitch markers... ;)
There is little better than wrapping your little one in a cozy blanket you knit with love in every stitch.
beautiful pattern, look forward to seeing the end result!
Ooh, it'll be so worth it once it's done, what a cute pattern!
I remember you showing me this pattern a few years ago and I was wondering if you still planned to make it! This is one of the most beautiful baby blankets I have ever seen. Keep us posted with photos along the way.
I have seen one or two of those blankets completed and they really do look beautiful. Every new baby should have something special knit for them. I still have my 2 blankets that my aunties made for me when I had my daughter.
Wow! That is an incredible blanket! After all that work I don't know if I could let my baby touch it. haha
I am ridiculously behind on life, and blog reading is at the head of that forgotten pack to be sure! :(
My warmest happiest huggiest most delicious wishes for your new baby to be! I am over the moon happy for you---- YAY!!!!!!!!!
How sweet! Have fun knitting just for you and baby!
I can't wait to see your progress! It's such a darling little blanket!
I can't wait to see you knit this. It's going to be gorgeous.
