Soakin Up The Sun

No time to knit when your soakin up the sun with good friends and making unforgettable memories on the water.

It's already August, the homestretch of summer, and I'm vowing to get the most out of it!

Yeah, about the crocheted hat, I got it for $4 at K Mart! Definitely got my moneys worth already.

And Back

My little birdie wasn't the only one that flew the coop, so did I!

Just got back from a whole week spent chillin' on a lake front cottage in Northern Michigan. Oh, soooo nice and much needed! A whole week of mainly EZ fishing and me knitting and just soakin' up the sun. It was so fabulous!!!

Being gone for a whole week you'd think I'd have some serious FOs to show but really it was all about the R&R. Ahhhhh, it sure was great! (but as always, good to be back!)

Vegas Baby!

Guess where I snuck off to over the weekend… that's right, Vegas Baby! It was a short trip but oh so fun! Looking back I really didn't get too many photos, but I did take a lot the night we partied in the old downtown. It's so cool down there and a differenct vibe then the main strip.

There is a laser light show overhead on the top of every hour. You can see in the pic above the screen like awning that is full of lights.

Pictures don't really do it justice but it was pretty cool.

Of course I enjoyed the show while sipping on one big large-and-in-charge drink! Talk about brian freeze!

There was a free concert going on down there too. A James Brown type guy. Oh my gosh, he and his band were so entertaining!

And let me tell ya, his dancers really knew how to shake their junk! WOWZA!

To top it off I even won a few bills doing this!

Anyways, even though it was great fun, I'm sure glad to be home. Vegas really is the city that never sleeps and boy I'm exhausted! Now that I'm back I'm looking forward to catching up on my sleep and catching up on your blogs!

Eat 'em Up Tigers - Eat 'em Up!

Last night Ed and I headed down to Detroit to meet up with a couple friends. We had FREE tickets to see the Tigers at Comerica Park. I was so geeked! I love the Tigers and this was my first time at a game and at the park. What a beautiful park!
Despite the scary storm that passed through (yeah, look at that sky, I was scared!) and caused a brief rain delay…
and despite the $8 beers!!!We had a BLAST! The Tigers kicked butt (5-1 against the Seattle Mariners) and our seats were only 5 rows up from first base! It was soooo cool!!! (Thanks so much Lynn for the free tickets!!!)Then of course we hit the bars and stayed the night with some friends.

Today I spent a small fortune at Urban Outfitters, Anthropolgie and Forever 21 and now I'm home and recovering on the couch and working finishing up a couple hats out of Itty-Bitty!So far it has been a great weekend! :)
