My Rag Bag Is Done!

My week off has been great! I've gotten a lot of things done like this and Hubby and I were also able to work on redoing our master bedroom (almost done!) plus we were still able to get up north for a few nights - it has been a great week!

Another thing I was able to get done is this. I think it turned out to be the perfect use for the strips of rags I had from my grandma, remember how big the ball was?! I used some dark denim fabric from my stash for the liner and straps. I liked the way it turned out and I still have a huge ball left, maybe I'll make more!P.S. I have to confess, I never did a liner for a bag before so I had to get help from my mom. I think it turned out great and now I'm confident I can do the next one all by myself! :)

Wow, you got a lot done in a week, sounds like you had a great time. I love the bag. I've knit some felted purses recently and would love someone to show me how to line them better. I've only lined one and I hated doing it - I'm not a seamstress!!
Have a great week.

Very cute bag! That's such a great idea, I've been toying with the idea of making a bag to tote groceries around in, and this would be perfect.

The bag, the sweater, the new shop...holy cow, I love them all. The fabric bag is awesome. I love the fraying edges the most and I am the biggest fan of denim. Sooo cool! Did you make the pattern up? Your shop is beautiful and so smooth. Great work. Oh, and you look adorable in the sweater. That's a great book, errors and all.

Your bag looks great! And isn't denim the perfect lining/complement to almost anything? lol

Did you see the knitterpalooza thing going on in Lansing Sept. 15th?
