Oh come on, after this, you had to know this was coming…
This is totally my new favorite baby set to give! Either with a plain hat like this or one of these fabulous Ribbons hat is out of Susan B. Anderson's, Itty-Bitty Hats - it's a total work of art! I didn't think I'd like it as much when I first saw the pattern but it's gorgeous and goes great with my Touchy-Feely Blankie.
Oh, and guess what… remember when I made the little hat to go with the blankie? Well… besides decreasing every other round it turns out it's basically this Ribbons hat but just without the eyelets and ribbons. geesh… I think I've knit so many of Susan's hats that I'm starting to think like her! So basically, if you wanted to knit one of these hats that I made just knit the Ribbons hat without the ribbons and eyelets!
Pattern Source: "Ribbons" from Itty-Bitty Hats
Yarn: Berroco, Touché
Yarn Amount: one skein
Needles: size 5
Size: 0-6 months
Note: To keep the ribbons on the hat tied I added a little dab of fabric glue in each knot. Seems to work well.
FYI: Jo Ann has these awesome Ribbon Sets and they are perfect for this project. Colorways and textured ribbons already organzied and ready for you to go!
