Seven years bad luck? Not in my book!
Can you believe that when I opened my luggage from my trip that this broken mirror brought a smile to my face? Well, it did!
That's because it means I can make another one of my mosaic switchplates.
I made this one years back for my first apartment in college. It's traveled with me ever since and I still love it today. I 'plan' to work on my new one over the weekend - if I do and if your interested I can try to get a tutorial together for you too!

LOL! I LOVE IT!!!!
I would say you know how to turn lemons into lemonade:) Nice project!
So neat - I would love to try this with some old cups (I would even be willing to break them as a commitment to the project). A tutorial would be awesome.
Very cool switchplate!
i love it jill. and the fact that you are not superstitious. i am not either.............
love the switchplate.
That is so great! I'm a little jealous you are able to find time to do this stuff -- I kept some pretty broken tea plates for a long time for a project like this, then finally gave up & tossed them.
I'll just live vicariously through you for a while. Unless...
Wanna babysit?
bwa-ha-ha TOTALLY teasing! ;)
I just love the switchplate. Such a great idea. How did you make it if you dont mind me asking? I mean as in the stuff between the pieces of mirror? And your moms scarf is lovely
