Monogrammed Project Tote

I finished my Monogrammed Project Tote! It turned out pretty cute and was fun to make.

I pretty much made it up as I went along - I hope I can make another soon and take down pattern notes as I go along - maybe even a tutorial. That's a nice thought.

Oh, YES, I do have a project in it already… I'm working on THIS!

The Que

Not only is doing freelance work for knitting related businesses fun but it comes with great perks like this…

I got this surprise in the mail yesterday from della Q. Inside the very cute handmade knitting card was a note thanking me for sharing Photoshop tips and tricks and for the work that I've done for her - if only my site was updated I could link it for you. I've got to get that done!

You'll have to check out her site, she has so many great bags and accessories for knitters. This one is called The Que and I love it already!

It has a pocket for needles size 2 thru 15. There is even a zipper pocket in the back of the needle pockets.

Thank YOU della Q!

I Got A Serger!

…now how the heck do I use it?!

I actually got this for Christmas - I didn't even ask for one and I was so happy when I saw it! It's great to have a crafty mom, she knows just what I need ;) - anyway, I've have been afraid to take it out of the box because I have no idea how to use it. Threading it alone looks like a nightmare. I am really excited about it though!

I noticed when I unpacked it that it came with a DVD - sweet! Now it's just a matter of finding a good chunk of time to sit down and do it. Probably won't happen any time soon though - work is sooo busy!

Wish me luck and I'll post again when I can. In the mean time hope you are having a great week!

Thank You, Tracie!

I'm working on an for Fiber Buzz. It's a full page ad that will go in the Interweave Crochet, Fall 2007 issue and Tracie from Lampes Lumps is one of the contributors to the ad. I've never meet or worked with her before and she is sooo sweet! She sent me a 'Lump' of her handspun fiber especially for little 'ol me! Isn't that so sweet and isn't it wonderful! I love the colors and the feel of the yarn. I've actually never worked with handspun yarn before so this is a very special treat. Thank you, Tracie! I can't wait to knit it up!
Another fun thing that happened today is I got my invitation to Ravelry! If you haven't heard of it yet you need to check it out. I'm have yet to play around with it and get settled in but it seems like an awesome place to be! Here's a little bit on what it's all about.

Once you sign up you get put on a waiting list but that is just because the site is still in developmental stage and they are taking it a little at a time. Frankly, I already think the site is huge! Anyways, get your name on the waiting list and see what the all the fun is!

P.S. I signed up in May and just got the invite now.

P.P.S. Here is my Ravelry page - I have yet to fill all the project pages up and whatnot.
