Art Fair Follow Up

I had a great day off with my mom. The Art Fair was good. BUSY & BIG! I didn't realize it was mainly fine art - which is fine but I'm not that into fine art, plus I couldn't afford anything. I did get a few things that day…

I got this little necklace from a woman named Barbara Swift who crafts glass beads. That's all I got at the Art Fair but I then I saw a cute yarn shop called Busy Hands. That is were I got this hank of hand spun 100% recycled viscose. The colors are to dye for! Women in Bali make and sell this yarn for a living. Here's a site with more info - pretty interesting. Anyways, I don't know what I'm going to do with it but I think a knitted teddy bear would be soooo cute. With button eyes and a bow around his neck! Ooooo, I'll have to find a pattern for that - any suggestions?Lastly I got these honkin' size 50s! I never saw needles that big so I couldn't resist. Probably be cool for a big scarf. Hey, looks like the right size for my fabric ball (that project is almost done, by-the-way).Oh, and the best part, everything in the store was 20% off!

Project Update: I'm allllmost finished with my Fun In The Sun Hat - just have to starch the brim - will show you soon! I also have 2.75 baby hats done for my weekly quota!

The yarn is beautiful but whoa those needles. I have size 17 and I think that is the largest I have.

do you have the pattern from the mother project bear (what was that called again? lol)still? i converted mine to in-the round pretty easily... that bear would look gorgeous with a bright white sweater on it, too. :)
