Devil Yarn

I was at my LYS last night and I couldn't resist this YarnDot from PolarKnit. I never thought I'd be popping these things in my Crocs but come on, it's a Devil Yarn Ball! Plus, I got a matching one to give to Miss O too!

OH, and I also got some of the PolarKnit Fleece yarn - I'm going to make the Mohak Hat for a special nephew. Isn't it it hilarious!

Yummy Merino

I stop into the wonderful and newly opened Apple Valley Yarn Company today and came home with some goodies. Yarn I didn't even know I needed ; )

My nephew's birthday is this weekend and he asked for a knitted hat (isn't that great!) so the blue is for him. I look forward to seeing what I do with the rest of this yummy merino!

Bundle Of Joy!

Now this is my kind of bundle of joy!

This is a Studio Fat Stack that I ordered from the lovely Anna Maria. ooo, I can't wait to cut into these. Not sure what they'll turn out to be but with such pretty fabric I know they'll turn into something beautiful.

I also need to do a little photo-shoot for you this week to show you the awesome prize I won from the talented Carrie over at Sommer Designs. I actually got one of her beautiful aprons!!! Hope to show you that soon. Hope to get some quality knitting time this week too!

What a package!

I recently bought a couple handmade items from Mint Basil (just found her blog and love her work!) from her Etsy shop The Cherry Stem. Along with these items being so well-made and just lovely, her added details to her packaging really made it even more special!

She used delicate twine embelished with buttons and even this one, with a vintage clip-on earring. I just thought this was so sweet!

The first little gift I opened was this perfectly sewn Pencil Case - with linen flower embellishment - and you know me, I just love the emblishment!

I love my new mason jar with pin cushion cover! I didn't know it was going to come with a pretty collection of assorted buttons either - What a bonus!

Thank you Mint Basil! You've really inspired me rethink the way I package my Knitterella items. I hope this post has inspired you as well!

Goodie Bag!

My mom just got back from a week long trip to New York with 3 of her sisters. It was the first time being there for 3 out of the 4 and they had a blast and had so many funny stories to share! It's good to have my mom back to Bay City though! And to boot - check out the goodie bag she brought me full of wonderful things!I got all excited when I saw this gift bag, do you recognize the logo? I sure did and I've never even been there before. I've seen the String logo in magazine ads and have been to their website. They sure have a great logo, I wonder if they sell shirts? It was so nice of my mom to make a special trip to a yarn shop for me. Just the thought alone is so nice and then she even picked me up this cool book. I've dabbled in socks just a little but have anyways wanted to do more so this book is great and will be very handy.

These socks from MacKenzie Childs are fun!

This hand-painted wine cork from MOMA will be very handy! :)And this little guy,I already have him outside in one of my planters. Isn't he cute? Makes me smile just looking at him :)

THANKS, MOM!
